Lailah
by Blodeuedd

She had lost her halo long ago, did she miss it? Hell yes. She missed the soft white wings she used to have, the serenity of her surroundings, and, well that was it. What she did not miss was the rules and the stick up their asses the upper level Enforces had. She wanted freedom, she wanted to feel lust, and so she fell. Her halo was a joke, her wings were fire, but at least she was free, or so she had thought.

Lailah swore but then put on a happy smile as a few nuns went by. 1000 of years in servitude to an arrogant prick could make anyone cranky. She had had a few good years in the 15th century when she had possessed a young woman, but other than that it was do this, do that. She rolled  her eyes and went into the church. She did not go up in flames, that was just silly. She had been one of the heavenly host after all, even if that was some time ago. And now she was working on something of her own, something that had taken her centuries. She wet her lips and followed the scent of the object she needed. If everything went her way then she would finally drop her immortal wings and become one of the ants that inhabited the earth. She did like the ants, she had watched them from afar for so long now and she wanted what they had. Sure he would send others after her, but it was not like she went into it without anything. No, she hoped to have a few tricks up her sleeve.

There it was, the Steago, an ancient manuscript she thought had been lost long ago, but that had been found in written down again. It just sat there among the other books and she could hear music in her ears. The sound filled her with a longing and she reached for the book. Soon, soon.

The person she planned on becoming was a young woman in a coma. She had made sure to check that the woman would never wake up. Her life would end in 4 years time when her parents pulled the plug. Instead she would make a miraculous recovery. Lailah looked down upon her and and then with a sigh she said goodbye to her old body. She would miss the damn thing.

Mina opened her eyes, a room, hospital? Where was she? Who was she? A dread awoke in her belly, she was missing something big, something crucial. Something would come for her? Her thoughts were interrupted when strangers ran in smiling and shouting for the nurse to come. Maybe she was safe after all.

--------------------

Kind of an intro to something bigger, poor young girl waking up, and has forgotten that she used to be a fallen angel,. Haha, yes we have heard it before ;)
